FORUM GREEN REGION 2023 AT THE WROCLAW UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS

As the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Forum Green Region, I had the immeasurable pleasure of coordinating for more than a year the preparations for this wonderful event co-organized by the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business and the European Commission! As part of the Forum, more than 200 experts, local government officials and business representatives met in Wroclaw to sit down together to discuss the green transformation of the energy and transport sectors! You can read more about the Forum itself on the event’s website (of which I am the humble author): https://green-region.ue.wroc.pl/ It was a unique opportunity for me to translate my research interests into real action, which I hope will become a contribution to many new discussions and activities. I would like to thank Prof. Boguslawa Drelich-Skulska, PhD, for leading the substantive work as Chair of the Scientific Committee, and Mr. Jacek Wasik, Director of the Regional Representation of the European Commission, for coordinating activities on the EC side. The event also could not have taken place if it had not been for the excellent organizational team consisting of Wiktor Walczak, Alicja Kozak, and Jakub Sokolowski (photo, order from left)! I encourage you to follow the full broadcast of the event, which is available below (Polish only).

As part of the Forum Green Region, I also presented the results of research conducted during a research internship at the University of California San Diego! The research collaboration with Prof. David D. Victor and Dr. Ryan Hanna was a landmark experience in my career! My presentation titled: “Market development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in Poland. What can we learn from the California experience?” contained a number of recommendations and insights, which I intend to publish eventually in the form of a doctoral dissertation being prepared under the guidance of Prof. Bogusława Drelich-Skulska, Ph.D..
