Participation in the European Sustainable Energy Week 2024 in Brussels
Two days after the European Parliament elections, I participated in the European Sustainable Energy Week 2024 in Brussels. It was a unique opportunity for me to deepen my knowledge about the climate and energy challenges facing Poland and the European Union.

Although topics related to climate change and energy transformation were almost absent in the public debate during the election campaign, I hoped that after this months-long electoral marathon, we would return to a substantive discussion on these crucial challenges. As a young researcher striving to participate in public discourse, I realized that I must continually acquire knowledge and experience to stay up-to-date with current economic trends and research findings.
I was pleased to participate in the European Sustainable Energy Week 2024 organized by the European Commission in Brussels. It was an excellent opportunity to listen to experts and decision-makers shaping the continent’s energy future. Following the inspiring opening of the event by the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, I engaged in debates, workshops, and substantive discussions that lasted until the end of the week.
I am convinced that the knowledge and experiences gained there will aid me in my research and teaching work at the Wrocław University of Economics and Business and as a member of the European Commission’s Expert Network in Poland, Team Europe Direct Poland. The entire world is making intensive efforts to achieve climate neutrality and lead the energy transformation. I hope that the European Union will continue to be a global leader shaping the direction of these changes.
